Tom Welling • Twenty-Three • Senior • Open Major/Minor
This boy here is Guin's older brother. I named him Tyler in the application, but you're more than welcome to choose another name for him if you'd like. He's one of the few people she has left in the world, but she has been keeping him at arm's length because she's absolutely terrified of losing him as well. Thus far he's given her space and hoped that it is all just a slump that she would get over, but now he's beginning to get really worried. He doesn't want to give up on his sister, but with the stress of trying to finish out his final year of university (in addition to any teams you wish him to be on and personal dramas you want to involve him in) it's becoming incredibly hard for him to cope as he is. I'd really like for Tom Welling to be his face claim, but we can discuss it if you're opposed to him. His major and minor are also open, and you're welcome to make him a member of any sports teams, clubs and fraternity you so desire. As a side note, I have placed Guin in the all female dormitory house on campus for the time being. However, if you think that the who of them would have arranged to be together in the co-ed dorm, I can easily change this to make things a little easier. Just let me know!
THE NEW KID
Robbie Amell • Twenty-One • Junior • Open Major/Minor
Robbie Amell • Twenty-One • Junior • Open Major/Minor
This is the boy I'd really like to come in and totally shake Guin's world until it's right side up again. This guy is a bit of a pretty boy in his hometown, the kid who is viewed as being a hero because he's a baseball star or whatever (preferably a sports star, but something in the arts can definitely work as well). He'd likely belong to the Alpha Phi Nu fraternity on campus and be higher up in their ranks, and he thinks he's a pretty great person. He's got the attention that he wants from the ladies but doesn't really pursue anyone because he likes the attention more than anything else, but feels like a part of his life is seriously missing. Enter Guin, who is still trying to cope with the recent loss of both her boyfriend and her mother. I think it would be really sweet if he had just a tiny bit of musical inclintion or a love of music, and that he somehow comes to see her because she's familiar to him but not one of the girls who constantly follows him around. I think that would be intriguing to his personality, and that's how he and Guinevere really cross paths for the first time. But this lad is eventually going to put his self-centered attitude aside because of Guin and help her to return to the fun loving woman that she used to be. Robbie Amell is the face I've chosen, but I'm willing to negotiate on him if you're opposed.
THE PROTECTIVE UNCLE
Clark Gregg • Fourty-Eight • Resident • Police Officer
Clark Gregg • Fourty-Eight • Resident • Police Officer
In Guin's application I mentioned an uncle who lived in Brighton and took a special interest in the two kids after their mother had died. Basically, I was thinking that this uncle (who doesn't really have any other family, though you're welcome to give him a love interest or something if you desire) was the younger brother of the kid's mother, Kathryn, and loved his sister dearly. Now that she is gone, he would see it as his duty to watch out for his niece and nephew even more than before, and would try his best to make sure that they were settling into university life without too many issues. I'd like for him to be a police officer so that we can really play up a bunch of the drama that could happen when he finds out that their estranged father Michael is back in town and looking to reconcile with his children following the death of their mother. In the application I named him Patrick, but this name is just a placeholder and you're welcome to change it if you wish. As for his face, I thought that Clark Gregg was a great choice because really...who doesn't love sassy Agent Phil Coulson? This character is pretty open so I'm more than happy to discuss some different plot ideas with him.
THE ESTRANGED FATHER
Hugh Jackman • Fifty • Tourist • Open Occupation
Hugh Jackman • Fifty • Tourist • Open Occupation
The gentleman you see above is a man who really would need an introduction if you met him on the streets, because he isn't exactly well known to Guin anymore. This is the man who walked out on Guin and her brother when she was only seven years old, so her brother is sure to have better memories than she is. Basically, he left them and has recently learned of Kathryn's death, finding out that both of his children are now down in Brighton attending the local university. And he wants to contact the both of them again to let them know that they aren't alone in the world. The trouble is, he's going to run into her older brother before he runs into Guin and the brother isn't going to be too pleased to see his father so soon after the passing of his mother. But he regrets what he did in the past and he wants to make up for it by helping the two of them get through their schooling without issue...especially once he learns that Guin is struggling so much with the loss of her boyfriend as well. I'd like for Hugh Jackman to be his face, but again we can discuss other possibilities and details about the character. For the most part, he is an open character to tinker with, just like the uncle. Maybe he went out and created a new family that he didn't walk out on? You never know.
