Hartley is looking for her best friend, Bridget. They have been friends since the first day of high school. Bridget is the only person that Hartley tells everything too. The person that knows every aspect of her life, the one who gets to see the more vulnerable side of Hartley and not just the cold exterior she shows the rest of the world. Hartley would die for Bridget or kill a man, whatever one was required of her. I am open to you doing pretty much whatever you want with the character as long as the two continue to share their special bond they have had since they first met.

Marco was a boy that Hartley had hooked up with at the beginning of her freshman year of college. Marco was a bit of a hipster. Not particularly Hartley's normal type. You know what they say though, opposites attract, and Hartley discovered that college was the perfect time to experiment with new flavours of boys. Besides he didn't seem to find her overachieving ways annoying, instead he found them rather amusing. Although their romance fizzled out as the demands of school deepened, Hartley had really liked Marco. Because of the way their relationship faded out Hartley hadn't never really got the closure she normally would have wanted. Will he be the one that got away or perhaps he was just another notch in the belt.

Oh Danielle. Hartley's former roommate, and new enemy. They had lots of issues last year with Danielle being a bit more a party girl with Hartley. It got to the point where they nearly had a physical fight. Hartley had been studying while Danielle had her boyfriend, Ben over. Hartley had been annoyed by the noise that Ben and Danielle had been making and after an entire semester of dealing with each other's more annoying qualities they both finally snapped. Luckily Ben was there to keep it from escalating too badly. After that they have mostly keep to themselves aside from the snipe social media comments and vague tweets. At parties they tend to avoid one another. How knows what will happened when they are actually put in the same room together again.
